Lead Design Engineer
Chris has spent his entire career in the heavy vehicle sector, beginning as an Apprentice Vehicle Body Builder at Custom Coaches (Sales) Pty Ltd in January 1997.
Upon completion of his Apprenticeship Chris was placed in charge of the Chassis section tasked with performing modifications & extensions to each vehicle.
In 2001 Chris moved into the Engineering department as a junior draughtsman and steadily moved up the ranks while also completing further studies in Mechanical Engineering. Through this time Chris played a role in the development of all Custom products, from the CB20 right through to the CB80 Series of vehicles.
Chris remained at Custom until 2013 when he joined Express Coach Builders in a contract role to help develop their updated range of Low Floor & School Buses dubbed the ‘Efficiency Project’.
Then in 2014 when Custom Bus Australia called Chris returned to take on the role of Lead Design Engineer, and is heavily involved with the Denning Electric Bus Project.
