Australian designed, manufactured and assembled, from the chassis up, Adventurer is something different whilst also appealing to the Australian bus operator. A School / Charter Bus capable of enduring the harshest of environments thanks to the lessons learned, of reliability and toughness from the past and combined with today’s technology.
Adventurer has been designed with the aid of Finite Element Analysis (FEA) software that simulates real-life conditions using computer modelling to highlight and identify flaws so that the perfect design can be achieved. FEA analysis has greatly influenced the evolution of the Adventurer resulting in a school bus fit for all Australian operators, and capable of operating effectively in some of the most demanding conditions.
FEA analysis comprises of testing mechanical stress, torsional stress, mechanical vibration, metal fatigue, motion, heat transfer, fluid flow, and electrostatics, offering great advantages in designing equipment that’s durable yet light enough for long lasting dynamic use.
Being Australian made enables bus operators to comply with local build and Australian content level requirements.
For TfNSW requirements, the 57-seat Category 4 school bus is available for Volvo, Scania, MAN, Mercedes-Benz or Hino chassis. The shorter, 43-seat Category 3 Adventurer is available for Volvo, MAN, Mercedes-Benz or Hino chassis.
